World Tourism Organization praises Turkey’s recovery in 2017

Taleb Rifai The Secretary-General of the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), has stated on World Tourism Day That Turkey has been able to reactivate the tourism sector successfully, where it recorded a growth of 30 percent this year compared to last year, which is a huge improvement especially after the failed coup attempt in the country last year.

“Tourism is a very sensitive sector, it is affected by external and internal factors, but if the sector is rooted in a country, it can quickly regain its balance and Turkey is a good example”

He added that he expects the tourism sector to be able to reach the figures it achieved in 2014.
